Apply specialized formatting to the contents of your book:
Subhead to title a section of a chapter.
Ornamental Breakis a type of scene break, and can be used to indicate a change of location, time, or narrator. It is often stronger than a break indicated solely by whitespace. Note: The paragraph following your Ornamental Break will be formatted according to the First Paragraph Style.
Inline Image can be placed anywhere within your text.
Alignment Blockto explicitly declare the alignment for a block of text, such as a section that should be centered. I can change the block’s alignment to be left-aligned, right-aligned or center-aligned. Alignments blocks will not be indented, Instead, the text that follows the block will be formatted as the first paragraph.
Listcollection of items. Lists are bulleted by default each item in the list is automatically preceded by a round bullet (•). I can change it to be numbered instead in a numbered list, each item is automatically preceded by an incrementing number.
Block Quotationto specially format a quotation, either because you wish to highlight it or because it is too long to include within a standard paragraph.
Attributionto include the source of the quotation. Note attribution is automatically preceded with a long (”em”) dash and is set in small caps. TIP The content of a Block Quotation rarely includes quotation marks, especially if it includes an attribution.
Verse if you include lines of poetry or songs within your book. Unlike in a Block Quotation, each line is set flush left within the Verse. Attribution can also be to your Verse
